Captain America Movies in Order
There are four Captain America movies in the MCU. The first three follow Steve Rogers; the fourth, Brave New World, belongs to Sam Wilson.

Captain America is the one MCU trilogy most fans rank as its best. The First Avenger is a WWII adventure, The Winter Soldier is a 1970s-style spy thriller, and Civil War is close to an Avengers film in everything but name. Together they take Steve Rogers from a skinny kid in Brooklyn to the center of the Avengers’ biggest split.
Sam Wilson carries the story forward. His first film as Cap, Brave New World (2025), picks up after the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which is close to essential if you’re going straight into Brave New World. The best order to watch the Captain America movies
Release order and story order are the same for the four films, and The First Avenger is also the earliest story on the whole MCU timeline. For Sam’s side of the story, the cleanest path is The Winter Soldier → Civil War → Endgame → The Falcon and the Winter Soldier → Brave New World.
