Every MCU Disney+ Series Ranked Worst to Best
Our pick for the best MCU series is Loki Season 2, and our last place goes to Secret Invasion. Critic scores are one thing; taste is another, so this is our opinionated ranking of 21 MCU streaming seasons plus two Disney+ specials, worst to best, updated through October 2026. Shorter add-ons like I Am Groot, the later What If...? seasons and the Punisher special One Last Kill sit outside it, and VisionQuest (October 13, 2026) gets ranked once its season finishes. How we ranked the series
This is an editorial ranking: our opinion, argued case by case, not an average of critic or audience scores. Every title was judged on the same five things:
- Writing across the season does every episode earn its place, or is it a film stretched to six hours?
- Characters does the lead grow, and do the supporting cast and villain matter?
- The landing a finale that pays off what the season set up, not just a big fight.
- Rewatch value would you happily watch it again?
- Impact how much it adds to the wider MCU. A bonus, never the main reason for a rank.
Who it’s for: fans who have seen most of the MCU and want a second opinion, or newcomers deciding what to prioritize. If you’d rather go by numbers, see the highest-rated MCU series, which sorts by IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. Ratings and ranks were last reviewed in October 2026; see our editorial standards for how we work.
The full ranking
- 23
Secret Invasion
2023 · 6 episodes · IMDb 5.8
A common pick for last place: a paranoid-thriller premise that delivered neither paranoia nor thrills, and its big mid-season reveal still divides fans. Six episodes of expensive television about almost nothing.
- 22
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
2022 · 9 episodes · IMDb 5.2
Tatiana Maslany is delightful and the fourth-wall gags are fun, but the finale literally shrugs and walks off, and the show never decided whether it wanted to be a sitcom or a statement.
- 21
Echo
2024 · 5 episodes · IMDb 5.9
Perfectly fine and instantly forgettable. Maya Lopez deserved a story of her own; what she got was a five-episode bridge to Kingpin’s next appearance.
- 20
Marvel Zombies
2025 · 4 episodes · IMDb 7.0
A gory four-episode road trip through the undead world first seen in What If...? Season 1. It swings big and the action is brutal, but the story feels rushed and most characters barely get room to breathe.
- 19
Ironheart
2025 · 6 episodes · IMDb 4.5
Riri Williams has real spark, but the show plays like setup for a future that hasn’t arrived yet. Watch it for Dominique Thorne, not for the plot.
- 18
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
2021 · 6 episodes · IMDb 7.1
Important themes, clunky execution. The Flag Smashers never cohere as villains, but Sam’s shield conversation with Isaiah Bradley is one of the MCU’s most powerful scenes.
- 17
Eyes of Wakanda
2025 · 4 episodes · IMDb 6.2
A lovely animated anthology that plays like a snack rather than a meal. Gorgeous to look at, gone from memory in a week.
- 16
What If...? Season 1
2021 · 9 episodes · IMDb 7.3
The high concept deserved better consistency: a few brilliant episodes (“What If... Zombies?!”, the Doctor Strange tragedy) floating in a sea of filler. The later seasons smooth this out.
- 15
Moon Knight
2022 · 6 episodes · IMDb 7.3
Oscar Isaac doing capital-A acting (two distinct personalities, often in the same scene) trapped in a show that has no idea what to do with him. The Cairo chaos is fun; the ending is mush.
- 14
Ms. Marvel
2022 · 6 episodes · IMDb 6.2
Pure joy and the most kid-friendly live-action MCU ever made. The origin retcons annoyed comics purists, but Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan shines through everything.
- 13
Hawkeye
2021 · 6 episodes · IMDb 7.4
Christmas comfort television. Hailee Steinfeld is pitch-perfect as Kate Bishop, the Rogers: The Musical gag is inspired; only an underwhelming final-act surprise drags it down.
- 12
Werewolf by Night
2022 · 53 min · IMDb 7.1
The boldest formal swing Marvel has ever taken: a 53-minute black-and-white horror homage with practical monsters and genuine atmosphere. More of this, please.
- 11
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
2022 · 44 min · IMDb 6.9
Forty minutes of nonstop fun. Drax and Mantis kidnapping Kevin Bacon is canon now, and the ending is the warmest the MCU has ever been.
- 10
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1
2025 · 10 episodes · IMDb 7.5
A bright, comic-book-styled retelling of Peter Parker’s first year in the suit, with a fresh supporting cast and plenty of heart. It takes real liberties with the Spider-Man story you know, but it’s the most fun the character has had on Disney+.
- 9
Agatha All Along
2024 · 9 episodes · IMDb 7.2
Camp, witchy, and completely committed to the bit. “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” lived in everyone’s head for weeks, and Patti LuPone steals every scene she’s in.
- 8
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
2026 · 8 episodes · IMDb 8.1
The 2026 season where the show found its old Netflix teeth again: leaner, meaner, and finally comfortable letting Matt Murdock be Matt Murdock.
- 7
Wonder Man
2026 · 8 episodes · IMDb 7.4
2026’s stealth hit: a Hollywood satire with genuine heart. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Simon Williams’ insecurity perfectly, and the industry in-jokes land for everyone.
- 6
X-Men '97 Season 2
2026 · 9 episodes · IMDb 8.7
Carried the first season’s momentum into 2026 without missing a beat. Not quite the lightning-in-a-bottle of S1, but “remember it” still echoes.
- 5
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1
2025 · 9 episodes · IMDb 8.1
Matt Murdock back where he belongs. The bank-heist episode is elite television, and the Kingpin mayoral arc finally gave the character somewhere new to go.
- 4
Loki Season 1
2021 · 6 episodes · IMDb 8.2
The TVA, Miss Minutes, “glorious purpose”: the Multiverse Saga’s most important show and its most stylish. The finale rewrote the rules of the entire MCU.
- 3
X-Men '97 Season 1
2024 · 10 episodes · IMDb 8.7
The best thing Marvel Animation has ever made. “Tolerance is extinction” handled with real weight, and the three-part finale broke an entire generation of fans.
- 2
WandaVision
2021 · 9 episodes · IMDb 7.9
The experiment that launched Phase Four: sitcom grief, a mystery that rewarded theorizing, and “what is grief, if not love persevering?”, one of the MCU’s most quoted lines.
- 1
Loki Season 2
2023 · 6 episodes · IMDb 8.2
The best MCU series, full stop. Loki’s journey from villain to something far bigger is the saga’s finest character arc, and the finale is close to perfect.
The three tiers
- Top tier: Loki (both seasons), WandaVision, X-Men ’97 Season 1, and Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. If you only watch a handful of MCU series, make it these.
- Worth it: X-Men ’97 Season 2, Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1, Agatha All Along, both specials, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, What If...? Season 1, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Eyes of Wakanda, and Ironheart, good to great, depending on your taste.
- Skippable: Secret Invasion, She-Hulk, Echo, and Marvel Zombies. Nothing here is required viewing for the wider saga; watch only if the premise grabs you.
FAQ
How is this ranking decided?
Editorially. Our team judged every season on the same five things: writing across the season, characters, the finale, rewatch value and impact on the wider MCU, not just review scores. Our best MCU movies ranking works the same way.
Are the Netflix Defenders shows included?
No. This ranking covers the Disney+ MCU canon era (2021 onward) plus Werewolf by Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. The Defenders-era Netflix shows live under our legacy TV archive and have their own canon guide.
Where can I watch all of these series?
Every series and special on this list streams on Disney+. Our which-shows-matter guide tells you which ones are actually worth your time before Avengers: Doomsday.
How often is this ranking updated?
After every new MCU series release. VisionQuest premiered on October 13, 2026 and will be ranked once its season ends on November 10. After that come Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 in January 2027 and the final season of Daredevil: Born Again in March 2027.
