Every MCU Movie Post-Credit Scene in Order
Updated
Marvel made the post-credit scene a habit, and 36 MCU movies have at least one. Here's every movie stinger in story order, whether it plays mid-credits or at the very end, and what it sets up. Heads up: the descriptions give away scenes, and sometimes the film's ending, so skip titles you haven't seen yet.
Some MCU series have extra scenes too, usually in the season finale: I Am Groot: Season 1, I Am Groot: Season 2, Loki: Season 1, What If...?: Season 1, WandaVision: Season 1, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Season 1, Hawkeye: Season 1, Moon Knight: Season 1, Echo: Season 1, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: Season 1, Ms. Marvel: Season 1, Ironheart: Season 1, Loki: Season 2, What If...?: Season 2, Daredevil: Born Again: Season 1, X-Men '97: Season 1, and X-Men '97: Season 2. Each series page notes where its stinger falls.

Post-credit scenes FAQ
Which MCU movie has the best post-credit scene?
Fan favorites include Iron Man’s, which started the whole tradition, The Avengers’ first tease of the saga’s big villain, and Thor: Ragnarok’s, which leads directly into Infinity War. Each one is described above.
Do all Marvel movies have post-credit scenes?
Almost all, but not every one. Avengers: Endgame famously has none, just a sound cue fans love. Our database marks each title.
What is the difference between a mid-credits and an end-credits scene?
A mid-credits scene plays after the main cast credits, a few minutes in. An end-credits scene waits until the very last credit. 26 of the movies above have a mid-credits scene, so don’t leave when the first scene ends.
Are post-credit scenes important to the story?
Often, yes. They’ve introduced major villains, set up new heroes and teased whole sagas. Skipping them means missing setup for the next film.
