About Iron Man: Armored Adventures
Iron Man: Armored Adventures reimagines Tony Stark as a teenage genius. After his father, Howard, disappears in a plane crash, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and becomes Iron Man while juggling high school. He suspects Obadiah Stane of being behind the crash. His friends Rhodey and Pepper Potts help him fight villains like the Mandarin, Whiplash, MODOK and Ghost. The first season also follows a race for the five Makluan rings involving Tony's friend Gene Khan. Season two adds Black Widow, Hawkeye, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Justin Hammer and the Armor Wars storyline, and Rhodey becomes War Machine.
Christopher Yost was the showrunner, and Method Animation, Marvel Animation and DQ Entertainment made the series. It used cel-shaded CGI. The show premiered on Nicktoons on April 24, 2009, and ran for 52 episodes over two seasons until July 2012. Adrian Petriw, Daniel Bacon, Anna Cummer, Vincent Tong and Mackenzie Gray lead the voice cast.

How to watch it
This is a standalone continuity, so you can start it anytime. It's a good companion to the MCU's Iron Man films if you want a younger version of Tony, Rhodey and Pepper. Season 1 builds the Makluan rings mystery, and season 2 covers the Armor Wars and a much wider Marvel cast, so watch in order. It's a strong pick for teens and for fans who like serialized cartoons.
