About Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man: Season 2
Season 2 continues Peter Parker's early hero years in the show's alternate timeline, building on Norman Osborn's mentorship and the villains introduced in season 1. Gwen Stacy, as Ghost-Spider, and Venom are both confirmed, with Josh Keaton voicing Eddie Brock. The Lizard and Rhino are joining as well. Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, Chameleon and Finesse return, and the season digs further into Norman, Otto and Mac Gargan. Brad Winderbaum has compared the shifting power dynamics to Succession.
Jeff Trammell returns as showrunner and head writer, with a bigger writing staff, for Marvel Studios Animation. Hudson Thames and Colman Domingo are back as Peter and Norman, and Charlie Cox returns as Daredevil, this time in the classic red suit. The season was first announced as Spider-Man: Sophomore Year. Marvel originally aimed for late 2026, but the premiere has since moved to January 13, 2027. Marvel hasn't announced an episode count.

You don't need any MCU movies, since it's a separate timeline, though fans of Charlie Cox's Daredevil will enjoy his return. It arrives in January 2027, so there's time for a season 1 rewatch. Watch for Gwen and Venom if you're into the classic Spider-Man era the art style echoes.
