About Hit-Monkey
Marvel's Hit-Monkey is an adult animated action comedy. A snow monkey troop in Japan nurses a wounded American assassin, Bryce Fowler, back to health, and he trains one aggressive young macaque. When assassins kill Bryce and the troop, Monkey takes Bryce's guns, gets his revenge, and finds himself stuck with Bryce's wisecracking ghost. In season 1 the pair work in Tokyo, chasing the people behind a progressive politician's assassination while the Yakuza put a price on Monkey's head. Season 2 moves the story to New York City.
Will Speck and Josh Gordon created and ran the show for Hulu. Fred Tatasciore voices Monkey and Jason Sudeikis plays Bryce, with Olivia Munn as Akiko, George Takei as her uncle Shinji Yokohama and Ally Maki as police officer Haruka. Season 2 adds Leslie Jones and Cristin Milioti. Both seasons have 10 episodes and were released all at once, in November 2021 and July 2024. Critics praised the animation, voice cast and action, giving the seasons 84% and 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.

How to watch it
It has no ties to MCU continuity and doesn't require any other Marvel show, so you can slot it in anywhere. Start at the beginning, since season 1 is one continuous Tokyo mystery, then move on to season 2 in New York. It's strictly for adults who like violent, deadpan action comedy and anyone who enjoys Sudeikis playing a sarcastic ghost.
