About Runaways: Season 1
The first season of Hulu's Runaways starts with six Los Angeles teenagers who haven't really talked since their friend Amy Minoru died. Alex, Nico, Karolina, Gert, Chase and Molly get together for one night and see their parents, the members of a secret group called the Pride, perform what looks like a ritual sacrifice. From there they start digging into their families' secrets and discovering abilities of their own. The parents are working to protect the Pride, and its mysterious benefactor, Jonah, is pulling the strings.
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage were the showrunners, and the season's 10 episodes ran from November 21, 2017, to January 9, 2018, starting with three at once. The teens are played by Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin and Allegra Acosta. The parents include Annie Wersching, James Marsters, Brittany Ishibashi, Kevin Weisman and Ever Carradine. Julian McMahon plays Jonah. Critics liked it (85% on Rotten Tomatoes), with many praising the parents as scene-stealers.
