Jackman was a late casting choice for X-Men in 2000 and went on to play Logan for 24 years. His solo trilogy is uneven: Origins is the low point, The Wolverine is a solid samurai film, and Logan is one of the best superhero films ever made, a western billed as Jackman’s last time in the claws.
Or so everyone thought. Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) found a way to bring him back without undoing Logan, with Deadpool recruiting a different Wolverine from another universe.
